Dubai Health Authority appreciates the continuous support and cooperation provided by its strategic partners to improve the provision of healthcare services in the Emirate of Dubai.

As part of Dubai Health Authority’s commitment to provide its partners with all developments related to health practices, legislation and regulations governing the provision of health services, health, curative, preventive and pharmaceutical products in the health sector in the Emirate of Dubai.

DHA is pleased to launch an updated “Standards for Standalone Day Surgery Centres” and a new set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (Class A, B, CM and C) to improve patient safety and healthcare quality.

• Key updates in the aforementioned Standards:

  • Clarified clinical categories for operation as per the sedation level.

  • Updated healthcare professional and equipment requirements needed at the centre.

  • Updated medication lists and emergency medications.

  • Updated list of permitted procedures as per the sedation level.
