Dubai Health Authority External Circular No. DHA/OUT/2021/0000114
Onboarding All Healthcare Facilities to the Health Information Exchange Platform (NABIDH) in the Emirate of Dubai
To: All DHA Licensed Healthcare Facilities
Dubai Health Authority (DHA) is grateful for the continuous support and effort invested by its strategic partners in the success and growth of the health services provided in the Emirate of Dubai.
In line with the current strategies and with regards to health practices and legislation governing the provision of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) services and NABIDH digital platform, please be informed of the following:
Electronic Medical Record in Healthcare Facilities
Healthcare facilities that do not have an EMR are mandated to acquire an EMR that can be integrated with the NABIDH platform, no later than 31/12/2021. The EMR should comply with the NABIDH Minimum Data Set that can be accessed at the following: https://www.nabidh.ae/#/comm/onboarding.
All healthcare providers must ensure that their EMR implementation achieves minimum stage 2 in the HIMSS EMR Maturity Model survey (EMRAM) to exhibit minimum acceptable readiness to comply with NABIDH requirements. However, achieving stage 4 is preferable to reflect smooth onboarding to NABIDH.
