1. CITATION AND COMMENCEMENT

1.1. These Regulations shall be known as the Media Zone – Abu Dhabi Employment and Sponsorship Regulations 2016.

1.2. These Regulations shall come into force on 1 April 2016.

1.3. These Regulations may be amended or supplemented by the Authority.

2. AUTHORITY AND APPLICATION

2.1. These Regulations are made pursuant to the Authority's power to issue regulations within the Media Zone - Abu Dhabi under Abu Dhabi Law No. 12/2007 relating to the establishment of the Media Zone.

2.2. These Regulations apply to all Licensees operating in the Zone and shall regulate the employment relationships between an Employee and a Licensee.

3. DEFINITIONS

3.1. In these Regulations the following terms shall have the following meanings:

• 3.1.1. Access Card means an access card issued at the Licensee's request, by the Administration Department, for the Licensee's Employees;

• 3.1.2. Administration Department means such department authorised by the Authority to be responsible for liaising with Licensees regarding Employees and other matters;

• 3.1.3. Authority means the Media Zone Authority - Abu Dhabi as established in accordance with Law 12;
