These Licensing Regulations shall be known as the Media Zone - Abu Dhabi Licensing Regulations 2012.

These Licensing Regulations come into force on 1 January 2012 and supersede the Media Zone - Abu Dhabi Business Licensing Regulations 2009 and the Media Zone - Abu Dhabi Dissemination Licensing Regulations 2008.

These Licensing Regulations may be amended or supplemented by the Authority.

These Licensing Regulations are made pursuant to the Authority's power and obligation to issue regulations that apply within the Zone under Law 12.

These Licensing Regulations regulate the licensing and conduct of business in the Zone.

In these Licensing Regulations:

Authority means the Media Zone Authority - Abu Dhabi as established in accordance with Law 12;

Branch means a place of business established in the Zone, under the Media Zone - Abu Dhabi Companies Registration Regulations 2008, that forms a legally dependant part of its principal company established in any jurisdiction outside the Zone;
