1. Short title, legislative authority and commencement

• 1.1 These Regulations are to be referred to as Business Licensing Regulations as the same may be amended from time to time.

• 1.2 These Regulations are issued by the board of directors of Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) in fulfilment of its obligations under Article 4 of Abu Dhabi Emiri Decree No. 5/2006 in respect of the establishment of Abu Dhabi Airports Company a Public Joint Stock Company.

• 1.3 These Regulations are made on and come into force on 1 October 2011 and will apply in the jurisdiction of Abu Dhabi Airports Free Zone until such time as they are revoked by ADAC.

2. Interpretation

• 2.1 In these Regulations, the following words and expressions shall have the meaning set out below unless the context otherwise requires:

• • ADAC means Abu Dhabi Airports Company PJSC, or any other entity or company designated by it (including SkyCity LLC) to carry out its functions under these Regulations and the Companies Registration Regulations;

  • Abu Dhabi Airports Free Zone means Abu Dhabi Airports Free Zone established in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi pursuant to the Decree;
