The trust law of the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) is contained in the QFC Trust Regulations which in its original form was modelled on DIFC Law No. 11/2005 DIFC Trust Law (now abrogated by DIFC Law No. 4/2018 Trust Law), which in turn was substantially modelled on the Uniform Trust Code (US) with additions and some amendments.

The QFC Trust Regulations were significantly amended with some provisions being updated in line with the then proposed revision of DIFC Law No. 11/2005 (now abrogated by DIFC Law No. 4/2018), others drawing on Bahrain Decree-Law No. 23/2016 on Trusts (particularly in relation to court procedures) and the QFC Foundation Regulations. Minor amendments were made in 2021.
