Starting an Arbitration at the ACCAC
Overview
The Ajman Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Centre (ACCAC or Centre) was established pursuant to Ajman Emiri Decree No. 6/2004 Concerning the Rules of Ajman Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Centre issued by H.H. Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nu'aimi, member of the Supreme Council and ruler of Ajman.
The ACCAC is an independent body that comes under the umbrella of Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and is subordinate to Ajman Chamber of Commerce in aspects relating to its administrative and financial affairs.
The ACCAC is located on the premises of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce.
The ACCAC was established to play a vital role in offering alternative methods of dispute resolution to the business community and to bolster financial crises management in the region.
The arbitration rules of ACCAC are embodied in Ajman Emiri Decree No. 6/2004. The conciliation rules are also set out in article 11 and 12 of Ajman Emiri Decree No. 6/2004.
