Overview

In a progressive move to enhance data privacy and security, Kuwait has adopted Kuwait Administrative Decision No. 26/2024 Concerning the Issuance of the Data Privacy Protection Regulation, marking a significant overhaul of its data protection regime. Kuwait Administrative Decision No. 26/2024 abrogates the previous Kuwait Decision No. 42/2021 On the Data Privacy Protection Regulation and sets forth a comprehensive framework to address the complexities of data management in the digital era. Kuwait Administrative Decision No. 26/2024 underscores Kuwait's commitment to safeguarding personal data through stringent guidelines on data collection, processing, storage, and breach notification protocols.
