Emergency Procedures Policy
1 Designated section
1.1 Each employee's workstation is in a designated section, each with its own:
1.1.1 designated exit points from the building;
1.1.2 designated assembly area outside the building;
1.1.3 designated enter title, e.g., Emergency Marshalls;
1.1.4 enter details, e.g., fire extinguisher, first aid kit, safety equipment, defibrillator and other emergency equipment; and
1.1.5 notice board, located in the enter location, e.g., kitchen areas, containing information about the designated exit points, assembly area, Emergency Marshall, emergency equipment and evacuation procedure applicable to that section.
1.2 Regular drills will be conducted to help everyone familiarise themselves with their role and responsibilities to themselves and each other in the event of an emergency. These are important and must be taken seriously.
2 Emergency procedure
2.1 If you discover a fire, suspicious package or other emergency requiring evacuation of the building:
2.1.1 telephone enter details, e.g., switchboard immediately by dialling enter number, e.g., 0;
2.1.2 do not attempt to tackle the fire or touch the package yourself;
2.1.3 alert the Emergency Marshalls in your section;
2.1.4 do as instructed by the Emergency Marshalls;
