Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD) is an industrial zone owned by Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) pursuant to Chairman of Executive Council Resolution No. 11 of 2006 on the Conveyance of a Plot of Land Specified for Constructing Khalifa Industrial City and Port.
ADPC is permitted to own, operate and develop all Abu Dhabi ports, and has the right to construct industrial cities and freezone areas under Abu Dhabi Emiri Decree No 6/2006 on the formation of ADPC and the Ministerial Resolution No. 108 of 2006 Announcing the Incorporation of Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) as Public Joint Stock Company.
KIZAD was formed on 12 December 2012 pursuant to Minister of Economy Resolution No. (377) of 2012 Announcing the Incorporation of Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD) PJSC.
Companies incorporated in KIZAD are subject to Abu Dhabi Free Zone Limited Liability Company (ADFZ) Registration Regulations issued by ADPC in 2011 (the “011 Registration Regulations).
