The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has launched a set of digital work permit services through its Ashal portal, aiming to modernise labour administration and reduce reliance on paper‑based processes. The initiative allows employers and workers to complete applications, renewals, and approvals electronically, ensuring faster turnaround times and improved transparency.

The digital rollout is part of PAM’s broader strategy to enhance governance in the labour market, reduce administrative burdens, and strengthen compliance with Kuwait’s labour laws. By centralising services on the Ashal platform, PAM seeks to minimise errors, prevent fraud, and provide stakeholders with real‑time access to regulatory procedures.

Officials emphasised that the new system will improve efficiency for both employers and employees, while reinforcing Kuwait’s commitment to digital transformation in public administration.
