The Ministry of Information announced that seven outlets were found to have breached Kuwait’s media regulations by publishing inaccurate reports and circulating news without verification from official or reliable sources. These practices were deemed violations of the country’s media laws, undermining credibility and threatening public trust in the national media landscape.

In its statement, the Ministry emphasised that the referrals reflect its mandate to enforce compliance with established regulations that safeguard the integrity of media content, uphold societal values, and maintain public order. It stressed that such measures are essential to strengthening the credibility of media messaging and reinforcing trust between the public and media institutions.
