This case involved damages owed to a former employee as a result in a delay in assisting in the administrative requirements to transfer their sponsorship to a new employer. A key point was the former employer was expected to take all required steps to facilitate a transfer even where the government department was asking for things that went beyond the legal requirements. Also considered was how compensation should be calculated if the new employer prevented details of their salaries being disclosed.
