KCC 149/2015-

This case involved whether an employee who worked for a bank was entitled to more than one interest free loan.

Background

An employee filed a case against a bank before the court. She requested the court to order the bank to pay the interest on the loan she had received from the bank. She said that she worked for the bank and she had the right to request an interest-free loan but the bank had levied interests on the loan.

The court ruled that the bank should pay the employee 5063.6 Dinars.

The bank appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court upheld the appealed ruling.

The bank appealed the ruling before the court of cassation. The bank said in its grounds of appeal that the ruling had erred in the application of law. The bank said that the loan the employee requested was the third one. The bank said that the employee had the right to request only one interest-free loan.
