Background
An employee filed a case against a company before the court. He requested the court to order the company to pay his financial entitlements. He said that the company had failed to pay these entitlements.
The court ruled that the company should pay the employee 57826.850 Dinars.
The two parties appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court amended the appealed ruling and ruled that the company should pay the employee 127824.901 Dinars.
The company appealed the ruling before the court of cassation. The company said in its grounds of appeal that the ruling had erred in the application of law and had insufficient evidence of causation. The company said that the court had calculated the severance payment based on the difference between the value of payment according to Kuwait Law No. 28/1969 and the one stipulated by Kuwait Law No. 6/2010 .
