F - Opening a 5th Case Management Office: ICC Court in the ADGM
The growth in the economy and international trade in the UAE, and more generally in the region, has brought with it an increase in dispute resolution offerings. Parties are becoming increasingly willing to have their disputes resolved in the region rather than relying on seats in Paris, London, Geneva or elsewhere. Although led by the established jurisdictions of London, New York, Paris, Hong Kong, and Singapore, the UAE is now helping the Middle East establish itself among the elites of world arbitration, supported by a willingness to be open and competitive, and amenable to adopting established international protocols. Therefore, it was with great pleasure that, on 21 December 2020, the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) announced that they were to open a new case management office for the ICC Court Secretariat in Abu Dhabi.
