ICC's 4th Conference on International Arbitration in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) took place last April 2017 and addressed the latest arbitration developments in the MENA region including Parallel proceedings, tactics and remedies, Annual spotlight: Update on UAE and Saudi Arabia, Performance guarantees in construction arbitration, Contrasting perspectives between external and in-house counsel.

The Fourth Annual GAR Live Dubai was held in November 2017 at the DIFC-LCIA Arbitration Centre and addressed various discussions on IA and the impact of culture - how well are differences handled?, Projects in conflict zones, and on confidentiality in International Arbitration.

The First Annual GAR Live Abu Dhabi was held in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) on 23 February 2017 and addressed different topics including: How to avoid construction arbitration; Five useful rules, Abu Dhabi Global Markets; The DIFC - the rise of the offshore option in the Middle East: How's the approach working out?;The Gulf Region: A legal melting pot or a clash of legal cultures?
