At the outset, the Ministry of Health is the responsible authority to regulate the healthcare practice in Iraq. Regarding the commercial side in the pharmaceutical field, there are a number of bodies to deal with in Iraq in this field: the Iraqi Pharmacist Syndicate and the State Company for Marketing Drugs and Medical Appliances (KIMADIA), the directorate of Technical Affairs and Directorate of public health.
