Overview
Iraq Law No. 37/2015 on the Labour Law entered into force in October 2015. Iraq Law No. 37/2015 governs the employment relationship between employers and employees within the private sector in federal Iraq, whereas the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has released a newly drafted Labour Law which will be published and came into force in the upcoming months that will regulate employment matters within the Kurdistan Region (KR).
