Ministerial Decision No. 787/2017 On the Regulation of Telework
The Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation:
Pursuant to the perusal of Federal Law No. 1/1972 on Competencies of the Ministries and
Powers of the Ministers and its amendments;
Federal Law No. 8/1980, on the Regulation of labour Relations and its amendments; and
Based on the proposal of the Undersecretary for Emiratisation Affairs,
Has issued the following Decision:
Article 1
The Ministry shall undertake to implement the telework system in which the employee performs his/her work duties in other than the premises belonging to the employer. Such system shall be implemented in accordance with the policy contained in the manual annexed to the present Decision. This policy shall remain applicable for one year from the date of enforcement of the present Decision. By the end of this year, such policy shall be implemented, and the manual related thereto shall be updated when needed.
