Ministerial Decision No. 675/2022 On the Payment of the Salaries for Some Domestic Workers’ Professions Through the Wages Protection System
The Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation,
After perusal of Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the competencies of Ministries and Powers of Ministers, and its amendments;
Federal Decree-Law No. 9/2022 on domestic workers, and its Implementing Regulation;
Ministerial Decision No. 598/2022 on the Wages Protection System; and
Based on the work interest requirements,
Has decided:
Article 1 - Definitions
The definitions mentioned in aforementioned Federal Law No. 9/2022 and Cabinet Decision No. 106/2022 shall apply to this Decision. Otherwise, the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned thereto, unless the context requires otherwise:
WAGES PROTECTION SYSTEM: The electronic system that is approved by the Ministry for the purpose of allowing employers to pay the salaries of domestic workers trough banks, exchange offices and financial institutions which are approved and authorised by the Central Bank of the State to provide the service of payment of wages.
