Ministerial Decision No. 636/2013 On the Ban of Import of Veterinary Raw Materials

The Minister of Environment and Water,

After perusal of Federal Law No. 1/1972 on Competencies of the Ministries and Powers of the Ministers and its amendments;

Federal Law No. 10/2002 on the Practice of the Veterinary Medicine Profession, and its Implementing Regulation;

Cabinet Decision No. 27/2013 on the Organisational Structure of the Ministry of Environment and Water and its amendments;

With the aim of regulating the import of veterinary raw materials that go into the manufacture of veterinary products used in the treatment of various animals, in order to maintain the safety of food of animal origin and to preserve the public safety, and

Based on the public interest requirements

Has issued the following Decision:

Article 1

This Decision shall apply to all veterinary raw materials that go into the manufacture of high-impact therapeutic, prophylactic or diagnostic veterinary medicines, or that serve to improve animal body functions. Such veterinary raw material include, unmanufactured and inert materials, as well as any material that goes into the composition or manufacture of ready for sale pharmaceutical products.
