Ministerial Decision No. 62/2013 On the Authorisation of Dubai Health Authority in Some Competencies of the Ministry of Health

The Minister of Health

After perusal of Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the Competencies of the Ministries and Powers of the Ministers and its amending laws;

Federal Law No. 4/1983 on the Profession of Pharmacy and the Pharmaceutical Institutions.

Federal Law No. 20/1995 on the Medicines and Products derived from Natural Sources; and

Cabinet Decision No. 3/1/2013 and Cabinet Decision No. 3/2013 of session no. 1 in cabinet meeting held on 13/01/2013

And based on the public interest requirements

Have decided:

Article 1

The Medical Practice and Licensing Sector at the Ministry of Health shall be entrusted with the implementation of the Cabinet Decision referred to above approving the delegation of Dubai Health Authority of the following competencies of the Ministry of Health:

  • Grant and renew licenses for the pharmacies located inside the Emirate of Dubai.

  • Grant and renew licenses for pharmaceutical professions practitioners operating or desirous of operating in the pharmacies inside the Emirate of Dubai.
