Ministerial Decision No. 557/2008 ON THE IMPLEMENTING REGULATION OF THE FEDERAL LAW NO. 37/2006 CONCERNING PRIVATE SECURITY COMPANIES
The Minister of Interior,
Pursuant to the perusal of the Federal Law No. 1/1972 regarding the Jurisdictions of the Ministries and the Competences of the Ministers, and the amending laws thereof; and
Federal Law No. 11/1976 regarding Firearms, Ammunitions and Explosives; and
Federal Law No. 12/1976 regarding Police and Security Forces, and the amending law thereof; and
Penal Code issued by Federal Law No. 3/1987, and the amending laws thereof; and
Law on Criminal Procedures issued by Federal Law No. 35/1992, and the amending laws thereof; and
Federal Law No. 37/2006 regarding Private Security Companies;
Has decided:
DEFINITIONS
Article 1
The following terms and phrases shall have the meanings assigned for each of them unless the context requires otherwise:
State: The United Arab Emirates State.
Emirate: One of the Emirates of the State.
Ministry: The Ministry of Interior.
Minister: The Minister of Interior.
Law: The Law on Private Security Companies.
Regulation: The Implementing Regulation of the Law on Private Security Companies.
Police General Directorate: The police command or general directorate in every Emirate.
