The Minister of Social Affairs,

After perusal of Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the Competencies of the Ministries and Powers of the Ministers and its amendments;

Federal Decree No. 10/2006 on the Formation of the Cabinet of the United Arab Emirates/ UAE Cabinet;

Federal Decree-Law No. 11/2008 on Human Resources in the Federal Government and its amendments;

Federal Decree-Law No. 8/2011 on the Rules of Preparing the General Budget and the Final Account;

Cabinet Decision No. 6/2008 on the Organisational structure of the Ministry of Social Affairs and its amendments;

The Standards of Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Program, and

Based on work interests

Article 1 - Definitions

In application of the provisions of this Law, the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned against each, unless the context stipulates otherwise:

1-Ministry: the Ministry of Social Affairs

2-Minister: the Minister of Social Affairs
