The Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries,

Pursuant to the perusal of Federal Law No. 1/1972 regarding the Jurisdiction of Ministries and the Powers of Ministers and the amending laws thereof; and

Federal Law No. 6/1979 regarding the Veterinary Quarantine and its amendments; and

Cabinet Decision No. 12/1989 regarding the Organizational Structure of the Ministry; and

Cabinet Decision No. 57/1/1999 regarding the Regulation of the Agricultural Quarantine and the Veterinary Quarantine for the GCC Countries; and

Cabinet Decision No. 219/10/2001 regarding the Approval of the Economical Decisions Issued by the Higher Council for the GCC Countries in its 21st session held in the State of Bahrain from 30 until 31/12/2000,

Decided:

Article 1 - Definitions and Expressions:

Minister: the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries in the United Arab Emirates State.

Ministry: Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in the United Arab Emirates State.

Animal: any animal*[1] whatever, whether domestic or wild. It includes all categories of animals, fish, poultries, whether for eating, breeding, for use or for any other purpose.
