Ministerial Decision No. 240/2023 On the Creation of an Employment Contract of a Studying Citizen

The Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation,

Pursuant to the perusal of Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the Competencies of Ministries and Powers of Ministers, and its amendments;

Federal Decree-Law No. 33/2021 on the Regulation of Labour Relations, and its amendments and Implementing Regulation;

Cabinet Decision No. 1/7F/2021 on the Initiatives and Programmes for the Emirati Cadres Competitiveness Council “NAFIS” and its amendments;

Ministerial Decision No. 279/2022 on the Monitoring Mechanisms of Emiratisation Ratios in the Private Sector and Contributions Imposed on Non-compliant Establishments and its amendments;

Ministerial Decision No. 46/2022 on Work Permits, Offer Letters and Employment Contract Forms;

Based on the work interest requirements,

Has decided:

Article 1

The following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned to each in this Decision, unless the context requires otherwise:

  • Studying Citizen: The citizen enrolled in the study within one of the programmes supported and approved by the Emirati Cadres Competitiveness Council “Nafis” in the specialised occupations and job categories determined by the Ministry.
