Ministerial Decision No. 21/2019 On the Use of Materials Recycled From Construction and Demolition Waste in Road and Infrastructure Projects

The Minister of Climate Change and Environment,
Having perused:
Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the Competencies of Ministries and Powers of Ministers, and its amendments;
Federal Law No. 24/1999 for the Protection and Development of the Environment, and its Implementing Regulation;
Cabinet Decision No. 12/2006 on the Protection of Air from Pollution,
And based on the public interest requirements,
Decided:
Article 1 - Definitions
In the implementation of the provisions of this Decision, the following words and expressions shall have the meanings stated beside them, unless the context requires another meaning:
State: The United Arab Emirates.
Ministry: Ministry of Climate Change and Environment.
Minister: Minister of Climate Change and Environment.
Competent Authority: Competent local authority for Waste management in each Emirate of the State.
Relevant Authority: Competent companies, institutions and entities for Waste management licensed to operate by the Competent Authority.
