Abrogating:
Ministerial Decision No. 116/2015 dated 30/03/2015
The Minister of Justice,
After perusal of Federal Law No. 1/1972 On the Competencies of the Ministries and Powers of the Ministers, and its amendments;
Federal Decree-Law No. 21/2022 on Regulating the Profession of Expertise before the Judiciary Authorities;
Federal Decree-Law No. 35/2022 promulgating the Law of Evidence in Civil and Commercial Transactions;
Cabinet Decision No. 17/2024 on the Implementing Regulation of Federal Decree-Law No. 21/2022 on Regulating the Profession of Expertise before the Judiciary Authorities; and
Ministerial Decision No. 116/2015 on the Action Charter for Technical Experts;
Hereby decides as follows:
Article 1 - Definitions
In application of the provisions of this Decision, the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned against each, unless the context requires otherwise:
State: The United Arab Emirates.
Ministry: The Ministry of Justice.
Minister: The Minister of Justice.
Decree-Law: Federal Decree-Law No. 21/2022 on regulating the Profession of Expertise before the Judiciary Authorities.
Competent Judicial Authority: The courts or the Public Prosecution.
