Ministerial Decision No. 1/2013 On the Implementing Regulation of the Pensions and Social Securities Law Promulgated by Federal Law No. 7/1999
The Minister of Finance,
After perusal of the Constitution;
Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the competencies of the Ministries and the Powers of Ministers and its amending laws;
Federal Law No. 7/1999 on the issuance of the Pensions and Social Securities Law and its amending laws;
Based on the approval of the Board of Directors of the General Pensions and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) No.3 of 2013;
Has decided the following:
Chapter 1 - Definitions
Article 1
In the application of the provisions of this Decision, the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings stated beside them, unless the context requires otherwise:
State: The United Arab Emirates State.
Government: The UAE Government.
Authority: The General Pensions and Social Security Authority (GPSSA).
Minister: The Minister of Finance.
Board of Directors: The Board of Directors of the Authority.
Chairman: The Chairman of the Board of Directors.
General Manager: The General Manager of the Authority.
Law: The Federal Law No.7 of 1999 on the issuance of the Pensions and Social Securities Law and its amending laws.
