Ministerial Decision No. 191/2023 Regarding the Rates for Appointing Citizens in the Pharmacy Profession

The Minister of Health and Prevention:

Having perused:

Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the Competencies of Ministries and the Powers of Ministers, as amended;

Federal Law No. 8/2019 on Medical Products, the Pharmacy Profession, and Pharmaceutical Establishments, and its Executive Regulations, as amended;

Federal Decree No. 33/2021 Regulating Labor Relations and its Executive Regulations;

Cabinet Decision No. 7/1W/2012 on the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Initiatives and Programs (Nafis), as amended;

Ministerial Decision No. 279/2022 on the Monitoring Mechanisms of Emiratisation Rates in the Private Sector and Contributions imposed on Non-Compliant Establishments; and

Based on the requirements of the public interest;

Has decided as follows:

Article 1 - Rates for Appointing Citizens in the Pharmacy Profession

Pharmaceutical establishments shall commit to employing citizens in the pharmacy profession according to the rates specified in the abovementioned Ministerial Decision No. 279/2022 for the employment of skilled labor in each establishment. The provisions and rules stipulated in the aforementioned Ministerial Decision, as amended, shall be applied.
