Ministerial Decision No. 101/2012 On the Regulation of Import of Cows, Sheep and Goats from Countries Registering Schmallenberg Virus

The Minister of Environment and Water,

Having perused the Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the ministries jurisdictions, the ministers' powers and the laws amended thereto,

The Federal Law No. 6/1979 on the veterinary quarantine and the amendments thereto,

The Council of Ministers' Decision No. 21/2009 on the organizational structure of the Ministry of Environment and Water and the amendments thereto,

The Ministerial Decision No. 460/2001 on the implementing regulation of the Veterinary Quarantine Regulation of the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries,

Based on reports by the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) on the Schmallenberg virus,

And based on the public interest,

Decides:

Article 1

The condition required to import cows, sheep and goats from the countries where the Schmallenberg virus was detected stipulates that the health certificate accompanying the animals shall include the following:

- A statement mentioning that the animals come from regions and farms where the virus was not previously detected
