Federal Law No. 7/2015 On Combating Prohibited Substances in Horse Racing and Equestrian Sports
We, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates State,
-After perusal of the Constitution;
-Federal Law No. 1/1972 on Competencies of the Ministries and Powers of the Ministers and amendments thereof;
-Federal Law No. 4/1979 on the Suppression of Fraud and Deception in Commercial Transactions;
-Federal Law No. 3/1987 on the Promulgation of the Penal Code and amendments thereof;
-Federal Law No. 35/1992 on the Promulgation of the Criminal Procedure Law and amendments thereof;
-Federal Law No. 10/2002 on the Practice of the Veterinary Profession;
-Federal Law No. 16/2007 on Animal Protection;
-Based on the Minister of Environment and Water proposition, as approved by the Cabinet and the Federal National Council and as ratified by the Federal Supreme Council,
Issue the following Law:
Article 1 - Definitions
In application of the provisions of this Law, the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings stated beside them, unless the context requires otherwise:
State: The United Arab Emirates.
Ministry: The Ministry of Environment and Water.
