Federal Law No. 4/2025 On the National Zakat Platform
We, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates,
After perusal of the Constitution;
Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the Competencies of Ministries and Powers of Ministers, and its amendments;
Federal Law No. 3/2021 concerning the Regulation of Fundraising Activities;
Federal Decree-Law No. 50/2023 on the Regulation of Public Benefit Institutions;
Federal Law No. 2/2024 on the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat;
Federal Law No. 3/2024 on the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa;
And upon the proposal of the Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, the approval of the Cabinet, the Federal National Council, and the ratification of the Federal Supreme Council;
Have issued the following Law:
Article 1 - Definitions
In the implementation of the provisions of this Law, the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned thereto, unless the context requires otherwise:
State: The State of the United Arab Emirates.
Authority: The General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat.
Chairman: The Chairman of the Competent Authority
