We, Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates State,

Pursuant to the perusal of the Provisional*^[4] Constitution; and

Federal Law No. 1/1972 regarding the jurisdictions of the Ministries and the competences of the Ministers and the amending laws thereof; and

Acting upon the proposal of the Minister of Defense, the consent of the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the Cabinet and the Federal National Council, and the approval of the Federal Supreme Council,

Have promulgated the following Law:

The term “ Order” has been deleted by virtue of Article One of the Federal Law no. 3/1990 dated 1/3/1990, amending the present law, and stipulating the following:“Except for Articles 13, 14, 16, 17, the words “order” and “orders” shall be deleted wherever mentioned in the articles of the Law”.

The date of enforcement of the said Federal Law had been amended to become as of 1/12/1989 by virtue of paragraph 2 of Article One of the Federal Decree-Law no. 1/1990 dated 30/9/1990.

The said Law was published in the Official Gazette, and entered into force as of the date of the issuance thereof, except for the clause 9 of the clause “Second” of Article 2 thereof, which entered into force as of 31/12/1996.

The word "provisional" has been deleted from the Constitution of the United Arab Emirates, wherever mentioned, by virtue of Article One of the Constitutional Amendment no. 1/1996 dated 2/12/1996; this Constitution has become the permanent Constitution of the State.
