FEDERAL LAW NO. 2/1996 CONCERNING PRIVATE HEALTH FACILITIES
We, Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates State,
Pursuant to the perusal of the provisional*[1] Constitution; and
Federal Law No. 1/1972 concerning the Jurisdiction of Ministries and the Powers of Ministers and the amending laws thereof; and
Federal Law No. 7/1975 concerning Exercising Human Medical Profession and the amending laws thereof; and
Acting upon the proposal of the Ministry of Health, and the approval of the Council of Ministers and the ratification of the Federal Supreme Council;
Have promulgated the following Law:
Article 1
In applying the provisions of this Law, the following terms and phrases shall have the meanings assigned opposite to them unless the context indicates otherwise:
The State: The United Arab Emirates State.
The Ministry: The Ministry of Health.
The Minister: The Minister of Health.
The competent Authority: The competent Department at the Ministry.
The Medical Licenses Committee: The Medical Licenses Committee provided for in Exercising Human Medical Profession Law no. 7 of 1975.
