Federal Law No. 1/1974 ON THE AMENDMENT OF CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE LAW NO. 1 OF 1972 ON THE JURISDICTIONS OF THE MINISTRIES AND COMPETENCES OF THE MINISTERS

We, Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates State,

Pursuant to the perusal of the provisional Constitution of the United Arab Emirates State; and

The Federal Law No. 1/1972 regarding the Jurisdictions of the Ministries and the Competences of the Ministers*^[1] amended by the Federal Law No. 1/1973; and

Acting upon the consent of the Cabinet and the Federal National Council, and the approval of the Federal Supreme Council,

Have promulgated the following Law:

Article 1

The federal ministries mentioned thereafter shall carry out the jurisdictions entitled thereto according to the provisions of the following articles:

Article 2 - The Ministry of Finance and Industry

The Ministry of Finance and Industry shall have the following jurisdictions:

1- Prepare the State Budget and final account of the Federation, in coordination with the federal ministries and in accordance with the provisions of the law.

The Law no. 1/1972 on the Jurisdictions of Ministries and Competences of Ministers is published directly prior to the present Federal Law.

Jurisdictions related to industrial affairs and entrusted to the Ministry of Finance and Industry shall be transferred to the Ministry of Economy by virtue of Article 7 of the Federal Decree-Law no. 10/2008 dated 28/9/2008 published in Official Gazette, issue no. 485 (bis) p. 96.The term “Ministry of Finance and Industry” mentioned in enforced Federal Laws, regulations and decisions shall be replaced by “Ministry of Finance” or “Ministry of Economy” and such as per the jurisdictions set forth in the Federal Decree-Law no. 10/2008 dated 28/9/2008.Furthermore, the following terms for ministers shall be replaced by the following terms:a - Minister of Finance and Judustry by Minister of Finance or Minister of Economy, and such as per the jurisdictions set forth in the Federal Decree-Law no. 10/2008 dated 28/9/2008.b - Minister of State for cabinet Affairs by Minister of cabinet Affairs, and such as per Article 9 of the Federal Decree-Law mentioned herein above, published in the Official Gazette, issue no. 485 (bis) p. 69.
