We, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates,

After perusal of the Constitution;

Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the Competencies of Ministries and the Powers of Ministers, and its amendments;

Federal Law No. 5/1985 On the Promulgation of the Civil Transactions Law, and its amendments;

Federal Decree-Law No. 15/2018 on the Collection of Revenues and Public Funds;

Federal Decree-Law No. 16/2018 On the Federal Government Real Estate Property;

Federal Decree-Law No. 26/2019 On the Public Finance, and its amendments;

And Federal-Decree Law No. 32/2021 On Commercial Companies;

And based on the proposal of the Minister of Finance, the approval of the Council of Ministers and the Federal National Council and the ratification of the Federal Supreme Council;

Have issued the following Law:

Article 1 - Definitions

In application of the provisions of this Law, the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned against each, unless the context requires otherwise:

  • UAE: The United Arab Emirates.

  • Government: The Federal Government of the UAE.
