Federal Law No. 12/1972 ON ORGANIZING CLUBS AND ASSOCIATIONS OPERATING IN THE FIELD OF YOUTH WELFARE

We, Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates State,

Pursuant to the perusal of the provisional*^[1] Constitution; and

Federal Law No. 1/1972 concerning the Jurisdiction of the Ministries and the Powers of the Ministers; and

Acting upon the proposal of the Minister of Youth and Sports, the approval of the Cabinet of the Federation and the Federal National Council, and the ratification of the Federal Supreme Council,

Have promulgated the following Law:

CHAPTER ONE - GENERAL PROVISIONS

Article 1

In the implementation of the provisions hereof, the clubs and associations operating in the field of youth welfare shall mean every regularly organized group constituted of several physical or juridical persons with an objective other than to obtain material profit, and aims at achieving youth welfare through the provision of all or some sportive, social and cultural services.

Article 2

For the foundation of any club/association operating in the field of youth welfare, the following stipulations must be met:

1- The number of founders must be twenty at least.
