Federal Decree No. 76/2014 On the State Accession to Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising
We Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates,
Pursuant to the perusal of Constitution;
Federal Law No. 1/1972 on Competencies of the Ministries and Powers of the Ministers and its amendments; and
Based on the proposal of the Minister of Environment and Water, the approval of the Council of Minister and the ratification of the Supreme Council of the Union,
We have decreed the following:
Article 1
We hereby approve the State's accession to Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization to the Convention on Biological Diversity (text and annex hereto attached).
Article 2
The Minister of Environment and Water shall implement the present Decree, which shall be published in the Official Gazette.
