Federal Decree No. 43/2006 On the Adherence of the United Arab Emirates to the New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards

We, Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates State,

Pursuant to the perusal of the Constitution; and

Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the jurisdictions of the ministries and the competences of the ministers and the amendments thereof; and

Acting upon the proposal made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the approval of the

Cabinet and the ratification of the Federal Supreme Council,

Have issued the following Decree:

Article 1

The convention on the adherence of the United Arab Emirates to the New York convention on the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards was approved, with the text attached.

Article 2

The Minister of Foreign Affairs shall implement the Decree herein and it shall be published in the Official Gazette.
