Federal Decree No. 35/2004 On the Establishment of a Financial Free Zone in the Emirate of Dubai

We, Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates State,

Pursuant to the perusal of the Constitution; and

Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the jurisdictions of ministries and competences of ministers and the amending laws thereof; and

Federal Law No. 8/2004 on the financial free zones; and

Acting upon the proposal of the Minister of Defense and Crown Prince of Dubai, and the approval of the Cabinet,

Have issued the following Decree:

Article 1

A financial free zone named "Dubai International Financial Center" shall be established.

All authorities must implement the present Decree, each within the jurisdiction thereof. Said Decree shall be published in the Official Gazette.
