Federal Decree No. 34/2023 On Ratifying the State's Accession to the Convention on the Suppression of Unlawful Acts Relating to International Civil Aviation
We, Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates,
Pursuant to the perusal of the Constitution,
Federal Law No. 4/1996 concerning the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), and its amendments; and
Acting upon the proposal of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Civil Aviation Authority, the approval of the Council of Ministers, and the ratification of the Federal Supreme Council
Issued the following Decree:
Article 1
The State's accession to the Convention on the Suppression of Unlawful Acts Relating to International Civil Aviation, whose texts are attached hereto, was ratified, with reservations as to Paragraph (1) of Article (20) of the Convention.
Article 2
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Civil Aviation Authority shall implement this Decree from the date of its issuance, and it shall be published in the Official Gazette.
