Federal Decree No. 15/2013 On the Establishment of a Financial Free Zone in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi

We Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan President of the United Arab Emirates State,

Pursuant to the perusal of the Constitution; and

Federal Law No. 1/1972 AD on the Competencies of the Ministries and Powers of the Ministers and the amending laws thereof; and

Federal Law No. 8/2004 on the Financial Free Zones; and

Acting upon the approval of the Cabinet,

Have promulgated the following Decree:

Article 1

A financial free zone called “Global Marketplace Abu Dhabi” shall be established in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Article 2

The present Decree shall be applied by all the authorities, each within the jurisdiction thereof; and shall be published in the Official Gazette and come into force from the date of promulgation thereof.
