Federal Decree No. 159/2024 On the State's Accession to the Nairobi International Convention on the Removal of Wrecks, 2007
We, Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates ,
Pursuant to the perusal of the Constitution;
Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the Competencies of Ministries and Powers of Ministers, and its amendments; and
Based on the proposal of the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, the approval of the Cabinet and the ratification of the Federal Supreme Council,
Have decreed as follows:
Article 1
Approval was granted for the State's accession to the Nairobi International Convention on the Removal of Wrecks, 2007; along with the inclusion of the state's territorial waters within the scope of the Convention's application in accordance with Paragraph (2) of Article (3) of the Convention.
Article 2
The Minister of Energy and Infrastructure shall implement this Decision which shall come into force from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
