Abrogates

Federal Law No. 8/2011

We, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates,

After perusal of the Constitution;

Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the competencies of Ministries and the powers of Ministers, and its amendments;

Based on the request of the Chairman of the State Audit Institution;

Based on the proposal of the Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Presidential Court, and the approval of the Council of Ministers,

Have issued the following Decree-Law:

Title 1 - Preamble

Chapter 1 - Definitions

Article 1

In application of the provisions of the present Decree-Law, the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned against each, unless the context requires otherwise:

  • State: The State of the United Arab Emirates.

  • President of the State: The President of the United Arab Emirates

  • Federation: The Federation of the Emirates of the State.

  • Government: The Government of the State of the United Arab Emirates.

  • Authority: The UAE Accountability Authority.
