We, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates,
After perusal of the Constitution;
Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the competencies of Ministries and powers of Ministers, and its amendments;
Federal Decree-Law No. 5/2016 on the regulation of the transfer and transplantation of human organs and tissues; and
Based on the proposal of the Minister of Health and Prevention, and its approval by the Council of Ministers,
Have issued the following Decree-Law:
Article 1 - Definitions
In application of the provisions of this Decree-Law, the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned thereto, unless the context requires otherwise:
State: The United Arab Emirates.
Ministry: The Ministry of Health and Prevention.
Minister: The Minister of Health and Prevention.
Health Entity: The local government that is concerned with the regulation of the health affairs in the State, each within its competencies.
