Abrogating:

Federal Decree-Law No. 10/2019 dated 29/08/2019

We, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates,

Pursuant to the perusal of the Constitution;

Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the Competencies of the Ministries and Powers of the Ministers, and its amendments;

Federal Law No. 3/2016 concerning the Rights of Children “Wadeema's Law”), and its amendments;

Federal Decree-Law No. 10/2019 on the Protection from Domestic Violence;

Federal Decree-Law No. 31/2021 on the Promulgation of the Crimes and Penalties Law, and its amendments;

Federal Decree-Law No. 38/2022 on the Promulgation of the Criminal Procedure Law, and its amendments; and

Acting upon the proposal of the Minister of Community Development, and its approval by the Council of Ministers,

Hereby issued the following Decree-Law:

Article 1 - Definitions

For the purposes of this Decree-Law, the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned against each, unless the context requires otherwise:

State: The United Arab Emirates.

Ministry: The Ministry of Community Development.

Minister: The Minister of Community Development.
