We, Mohammed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, President of the State of the United Arab Emirates,

Pursuant to the perusal of the Constitution;

Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the Competencies of Ministries and the Powers of Ministers, and its amendments;

Federal Law No. 2/2001 on social security, and its amendments;

Federal Decree-Law No. 14/2018 on the Central Bank and the regulation of the financial facilities and activities, and its amendments;

Federal Law No. 6/2007 regulating Insurance Business, and its amendments,

Federal Decree-Law No. 33/2021 on the Regulation of Labour Relations, and its Implementing Regulation; and

Based on the proposal of the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and its approval by the Cabinet,

Issued the following Decree-Law:

Article 1 - Definitions

In application of the provisions of the present Decree-Law, the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned thereto unless the context requires otherwise:

  • State: United Arab Emirates.

  • Ministry: Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation

  • Minister: Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation

  • Central Bank:  Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates.
