Ministerial Decision No. 389/2023 On the Implementation of Federal Decree-Law No. 17/2019 Concerning Weapons, Ammunition, Explosives, Military Equipment and Hazardous Materials, and the Implementing Regulation Thereof
The Minister of Interior,
Pursuant to the perusal of Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the Competencies of Ministries and powers of Ministers, and its amendments;
Federal Law No. 12/1976 on Police and Security Forces, and its amendments;
Federal Decree-Law No. 17/2019 on Weapons, Ammunition, Explosives, Military Equipment and Hazardous Materials; and
Ministerial Decision No. 59/2020 Concerning the Implementing Regulation of Federal Decree-Law No. 17/2019 on Weapons, Ammunition, Explosives and Military Equipment,
Hereby Decided the Following:
Chapter 1 - General Provisions
Article 1 - Definitions
For the purposes of this Decision, the following terms and expressions shall bear the meanings ascribed to them herein, unless the context indicates otherwise:
State: The United Arab Emirates.
Ministry: The Ministry of Interior.
Minister: The Minister of Interior.
Undersecretary of the Ministry: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior.
Office: The Weapons and Hazardous Substances Offices of the Supreme Council for National Security.
Decree-Law: Federal Decree-Law No. 17/2019 Concerning Weapons, Ammunition, Explosives, Military Equipment and Hazardous Materials.
